Marie Gartzky

Marie lives in Bremen, is 27 and a graduated Art Therapist since 2014. She joined 4ArTs, Istanbul, in 2013 together with Nana.

Her Bachelor Thesis focused on masks as a medium for therapy. Working with masks combines the technical and artistic process with clay and colors, the mind process of building a character, the connection to it and the possibility to expirience the character in a playful way with body and mind. All fields of experience help to develope a holistic view and give more points of contact.

At her internship at AMEOS Klinikum Dr. Heines, Bremen, she gave a workshop for people with depressions and is doing further education for working with masks in Berlin.

Working interdisciplinary - share and connect between the 4ArTs - is one of her main aspects to get an integrated view and a range of perspectives.

In Arts - she loves portraits and doing her WaterFlow-Projects. (website in process)

In 2008, she lived and worked in a Camphill in Northern Ireland for 2 years. She experienced the anthroposophical approach in practice and discovered the importance about curative education and curative therapies.

Since ten years she works with people with special needs in different settings.

Within her work, projects and social environment she strives to inclued the holistic approach. That means working with the whole: Body, Soul and Spirit.

The interdisciplinary work brings a valuable aspect, which she includes in her practial work.

Combining the arts opens up new ways and approaches, which helps us to look and work from different perspectives.
